What does the Diversity Officer do?

Works to ensure that meetings and interest groups are accessible to members with diverse needs.

Implement and review an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) policy to ensure that we are compliant with the Equality Act 2010.

Identify and reach out to underrepresented groups in our local area, such as men, younger members, or diverse ethnic and cultural communities.

Provide guidance to committee members and group coordinators on how to foster a welcoming and congenial atmosphere for everyone.
