What does the Chair do?

Chair Committee Meetings, Special General Meetings and AGMs.

Have a casting vote should a proposal have a tied result.

Approve the Agenda for all meetings as above, taking account of representations from members, both within and outside of the committee.

Ensure that the aims and objects of the u3a, as set out in the constitution are upheld.

Consult with executive Officers, committee members and general members when required.

Liaise with the Third Age Trust, YAHR, the Charities Commission and other u3a groups as and when appropriate.

Act as a Trustee
