Web Manager


What does the Website Manager do?

Liaises with the National Site Builder support team and maintains a working knowledge of the site’s capabilities and future development options.

Works with the committee and group leaders to gather news, photographs and information that present our u3a clearly and attractively to potential members.

Keeps the website accurate and up to date, including events, committee details, group information, joining instructions, membership fees, newsletters and links to the national site.

Removes or updates out-of-date content and adds new groups or removes closed groups as needed.

Develops the website as a forward-looking resource, adding functionality where appropriate and maintaining dedicated work areas for committee, coordinators and members (manuals, how-to guides, FAQs and reference material).

Supports committee transparency by publishing information about committee activities, plans and future direction.

Encourages engagement by highlighting opportunities for members to get involved, including group participation, volunteering and recruitment for committee and coordinator roles.

Maintains links between the website and social media to ensure consistent communication and visibility.

Acts as a Trustee.
