A very basic introduction to Latin using the Cambridge Latin programme. The book focuses on a family in Pompeii, half of the sessions are in English and then we look at various aspects of Roman life in Pompeii such as houses, the forum, shops, slavery and entertainment. We will also look at word derivation into English and other languages. You do not need to be a linguist or to have studied a language to come along.
Those taking this group will need to have their own copy of the Cambridge Latin programme Book 1 (4th edition).
