A very basic introduction to Latin using the Cambridge Latin course. The book focuses on a family in Pompeii and half of the course is in English and looks at various aspects of Roman life in Pompeii such as houses, the forum, shops, slavery and entertainment. We will also look at word derivation into English and other languages. You do not need to be a linguist or to have studied a language to come along.
Those taking this course will need to have their own copy of the Cambridge Latin course Book 1 (4th edition).
