What is Qigong? Put simply, Qigong is a form of Chinese exercise that has been around for hundreds, if not thousands of years. It is ideal for improving health without straining or stressing the body as it involves gentle movement and mindful breathing, completely within your range of ability. Qi is the Chinese word for “life energy”, Gong means ”work” or “cultivation”, and relates to benefits acquired through regular practice. Qigong is suitable for all ages and abilities and, practised regularly, improves balance reduces stress and improves coordination of the body. The group is currently full, and any members wishing to join the group will have to go on a waiting list.
